Clocks go back Sunday and evenings turn dark early. Which evening walk are you taking this winter?
The market in 60 seconds
Across Queen Anne and Magnolia ZIPs 98109, 98119 and 98199 (City of Seattle), the median home sold for $1.29M over the last 30 days (58 closings; houses alone $1.60M). The median home took 49 days from listing to closing, and there are 6.6 months of inventory on the market.
Homes sold a week faster than last week's 56 days, while inventory edged up from 6.5 months, so the edition stays on the buyer's side: above six months favors buyers, under three favors sellers. Houses alone run 4.6 months, and 162 of the 381 homes for sale are houses. 17% of homes closed above asking, against 18% a week ago.

Reader asked
A reader on Queen Anne asked whether the new parking meters on Queen Anne Avenue will come with passenger load zones and disabled parking near the busiest stores. Both are in SDOT's draft; exact spots are not set yet. The plan adds 5-, 15- and 30-minute load zones for deliveries, takeout, quick stops and passenger pick-up and drop-off; the 5-minute zones go near coffee shops and busy takeout counters and are free for anyone. It also adds free 4-hour parking for people with disabilities throughout the business district. Today a valid disabled permit already parks free in Seattle's paid spaces, though not in commercial vehicle load zones. Nothing goes in until 2027, and locations are still open, so name a block now: [email protected] or (206) 684-7229. SDOT FAQ · Disabled parking Know a neighbor asking the same thing?
